Through nonviolence work, we aim to enable rights defending organisations and activists to use nonviolence effectively.
We aim to improve the capacity of rights defenders to act together (organise) through non-violent organising activities.
Through well-being work, we aim to empower advocacy organisations and activists to ensure and protect their well-being.
Who are we?
Nonviolence Education and Research Association (shortly known as Nonviolence Centre) was founded in 2015 by a group of activists with the dream of a world without violence. Our aim is to empower civil society organisations and activists with nonviolence tools and methods in order for them to make effective use of their rights. In line with this purpose;
Improving the capacity of organisations and activists to act together (organising),
We aim to increase the knowledge and skills of organisations and activists in strategic campaign planning, nonviolent methods and tactics.
For this purpose, we increase the number of written and visual resources on nonviolence, nonviolent organising and well-being, conduct research, workshops and communication activities.
